Throughout the movie, Charles Foster Kane is constantly in low angle shots to suggest his high authority and power. Mr. Kane's has a big ego and the purpose of most of his actions seems to involve him making him look good. In the scene where Susan is talking about how she remembers Mr. Kane, she states that, "Everything was his idea." When she starts yelling at Mr. Kane, she is in a low angle shot, making her seem small and unimportant. Mr. Kane, however, was in a high angle shot showing his dominance over her. Even when Susan is leaving Mr. Kane, he tries to convince her to stay by saying that everything will be the way that she wants it, but continues to say, "You can't do this to me." Showing that he still has a big ego. When Susan does walk out the door, he loses it and completely trashes the room he was in. He was very disconnected from the world and what made him stop was seeing the snow globe. The world he's living in is full of such negative influences and one of the only things that actually made him happy was the sled Rosebud.

That's true about how Charles Foster Kane might have a big ego; the low angle shots do show Charles Kane more powerful over the people around him even where he has a higher authority and power over Susan. I didn't even think about what Susan said which made her seem like unimportant or small to Mr. Kane.
